The affairs of the Estate are managed by the Sparrebosch Home Owner's Association, a Section 21 Company. The Board of Trustees comprises several property owners who are elected at the Annual General Meeting for a period of two years.

The main objective of the SHOA is to serve and protect the common interests of property owners by:
  • Scrutinising all new building plans to ensure compliance with the Sparrebosch Architectural Design Manual;
  • Enforcing strict compliance with a Builders Code of Conduct through ongoing monitoring of all construction activities, including movement of people on and off the Estate;
  • Ensuring effective 24/7 security on the Estate;
  • Maintaining common areas, including roads, verges and facilities to a high standard;
  • Protecting the environment; and
  • Maintaining open channels of communication with property owners and responding to their concerns, speedily and effectively.

Home owner levies are determined annually to cover costs of security, maintenance, landscaping, administration and other common expenses. Owners are responsible for rates, taxes and utilities payable to the Knysna Municipality.
